INTERNATIONAL CHORAL MUSIC COMPOSITION COMPETITION

The International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM) celebrates its 100-year jubilee in 2022. As a part of the «ISCM Collaborative Series», various ISCM sections announce a choral composition competition, with the aim of giving new impulses to contemporary choral arts, which have suffered greatly in the past months due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Swiss section, also celebrating its 100-year jubilee, calls for choral works for equal voices. The winning pieces will be premiered in spring 2022 as a part of two choral concerts: At Stadtcasino Basel by «Männerstimmen Basel» conducted by American composer Eric Whitacre, and in Andelfingen by «Jugendchor Zürich» conducted by Marco Amherd.
